As attorneys-at-law, we provide legal assistance and representation in defence of the freedoms, rights and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities, in accordance with the principles of independence, exclusivity of professional practice, self-governance and self-financing.
In practising law, we are guided by our clients’ legitimate interests, which we protect to the best of our ability through the means provided by law.
Our Principles
Professional Independence
We practise law independently.
We act in accordance with the law, the Bulgarian Code of Ethics for Attorneys-at-Law and our clients’ legitimate interests. We are not influenced by personal interests, external pressure or third-party interference, and we provide legal assistance in accordance with our independent professional judgment.
We oppose any interference with our independence and do not compromise professional ethics to gain the approval of clients, public authorities or third parties.
Trust and Integrity
Our relationships with clients are founded on trust, which also underpins relationships among attorneys and between attorneys and public authorities.
Such relationships cannot exist where there is doubt about an attorney’s honesty, personal dignity or integrity.
Professional Confidentiality
We preserve our clients’ confidentiality without limitation in time. The protection of professional secrecy is a fundamental and paramount duty of an attorney-at-law.
Our Objectives
To uphold the legal profession as an activity carried out both in the interests of justice and in defence of the legitimate interests and rights of the individuals and legal entities whose cases have been entrusted to us.
To strengthen public confidence in the legal profession, recognising that the existence of a free and independent profession governed by its own rules is an essential safeguard of the rule of law and human rights, including where those rights may conflict with the exercise of state authority or the interests of particular groups within society.
To establish relationships with the judiciary and other public authorities before which we represent our clients or defend their interests, based on mutual respect and professional collegiality.
